Beer Battered Crappies

Crappies lightly coated in a beer batter is a favorite recipe all season long, but it’s the perfect combination with fresh sweet corn and a garden salad.

Ingredients

  • 8 to 10 Crappie Fillets
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup  Canola or Coconut oil
  • 1 teaspoon paparika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup  of beer

Directions

Mix ALL the above ingredients in a large bowl. Keep mixing until the batter is smooth and then add the fillets to the mix.

Fill a skillet with 1/4-inch deep oil and and bring to medium heat.

Add fillets and fry 6 to 8 minutes until the batter is golden brown.
