Mary Ella Lindner
Mary Ella Lindner, of Brainerd, MN passed away peacefully and was surrounded by loved ones at home on October 15th, 2021.
Mary was born to Robert and Gloria Denny in Stewartville, MN. She grew up in rural Minnesota and worked on a farm. Mary had a colorful family background that included vaudeville performers that traveled the world. After graduating from high school, Mary pursued an education and worked downtown Minneapolis before moving to the Brainerd Lakes area.
In 1972, Mary met Al Lindner, and they wed in 1974. They have two children, Chance and Troy. Mary was a devoted wife and mother; she fully supported her family’s variety of endeavors throughout their careers.
Mary filled her home with love, warmth and kindness. Her steadfast faith came first and was above all else. Her trust in the Lord was a value she gently sprinkled about, which was very much felt by family, friends, community and church fellowship. As a breast cancer survivor, Mary was an advocate for breast cancer awareness.
Mary had many interests and enjoyed European travel, unique culinary experiences, collectables, gardening, painting, calligraphy and even making hand marbled paper. She taught art and shared her passion for the arts throughout her life.
“Lady Mary” will be remembered for her playful, bubbly and joyful spirit. Her strength, positive outlook, grace, courage and encouraging nature will live on. Heaven gained an angel — she was truly the wind beneath many a wing to her family and many friends. Her life’s motto was “Expect a Good Report!” We will miss her greatly.
Mary was predeceased by her parents and a sister, Ruth Ann. She is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Allen Lindner, and her two sons, Chance Lindner (Scottsdale, AZ), Troy Lindner (Los Angeles, CA) and sister Joyce Wadsworth (Tom) (Milwaukee, WI).
