Our Favorite Fish Tacos
These fish tacos are are easy to make and have just the right amound of spice and kick. All freshwater fish work well with this recipe, but we prefer walleye, perch, bluegills, and bass.
Ingredients
FILLING:
- 1 cup corn
- 1/2 cup diced red onion
- 1 cup diced red bell pepper
- 1/2 cup fresh cilantro, finely chopped
- 1 lime gratted and juiced
- 2 tablespoons cayenne pepper
- 1 tablespoon freshly ground pepper
- 2 tablespoons salt
- 6 fish fillets
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 12 corn tortillas
- 2 tablespoons sour cream
Directions
In a medium bowl, mix together corn, red onion, jicama, red bell pepper, and cilantro. Next, mix in the lime juice and grated lime peel.
In a separte bowl, combine the cayenne pepper, ground black pepper, and salt. Brush the fillets with olive oil and sprinke with the spice mixture.
Cook the filles over medium high heat for 3 to 4 minutes per side until the meat can be flaked with a fork.
Top with sour cream and corn salsa.
