Salmon Burgers

Salmon burgers can be grilled or fried in a pan. Until the patty firms, they are much more fragile than a say a beef or venison burger. Served on your favorite hamburger bun and with your preferred toppings, salmon burgers are an Angling Edge summertime favorite.

Ingredients

  • tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 cups diced onion
  • 2 cups cooked salmon
  • 1/2 cup Italian bread crumbs or crushed crackers
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Salt and Pepper to taste 
  • Old Bay seasoning to taste

Directions

Melt 1 tablespoon of butter in a pan over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and saute’ for 5 minutes or until soft. Flake the salmon fillet and mix in with the onions, eggs, bread crumbs, lemon juice, salt, peopper, and Old Bay seasoning.  Shape 4 patties.

Heat 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat and cook both sides of the patties for about 5 to 7 minutes.
