Being able to change your speed by 1/10 of a mile an hour is very important when fishing. When fishing with different baits, it’s important to be able to make precise speed changes. A 9.9 kicker engine lets you do this. The best trolling speed can change based on the kind of bait you are using. For instance, our trolling speeds have been between 1.5 and 2.5 miles per hour, depending on the bait and the type of fish we want to catch. With a 9.9 kicker engine, we can adjust our speed to present our baits in the way that will attract the most fish.
Advantages of Having a Small Engine

We got to spend five days on Lac Seul fishing for walleye, smallmouth bass, northern pike, and muskie. Lac Seul Floating Lodges gave us a houseboat to stay on, which was the perfect base camp for our fishing trip.
The houseboat had enough space for all of our gear and all the comforts of home. We were able to stay right on the best fishing spots, which gave us an experience that we couldn’t have had if we had stayed on land. Having everything we needed on the houseboat made our fishing trip even better.
We saw that the fish were all over the flats in the morning when we were on Lac Seul, but as the sun came up, they started to gather on some of the points. Because of this change in behavior, we were able to try vertical fishing, which worked out well.
We also caught some extra fish along the way. We were trying to catch smallmouth bass when we found a big one. We told our friends, and they came along and had a great time catching the big bass. We also caught a walleye and a big northern pike, which made our fishing trip even more exciting.
