In this article, I want to share a personal story that had a profound impact on my life. It all started when my brother and I sold our old In-Fisherman Communications Network many years ago. As part of our journey, we decided to start a professional Walleye Tournament Trail (PWT), which included a magazine, radio shows, and massive tournaments. Our goal was to take the world of Walleye fishing to another level.
During this time, the anglers involved in the tournaments formed an organization called the National Professional Anglers Association (NPAA). This organization, which is still active today, honored us for our contribution to the sport fishing industry, particularly in the realm of Walleye fishing. It was a proud moment for us.
When it was my turn to speak at the NPAA banquet, I made a statement that would forever change my perspective. I said, “I don’t believe there’s another In-Fisherman in me.”
Little did I know, those words would be met with a gentle reminder from the spirit of God. It was as if He whispered to me, “Watch your words. I’m not done with you yet.”
That moment was etched into my mind and heart. And the fruit of that realization is what you are witnessing today – Angling Edge television. This show, which has been running for over 20 years, was born out of the seed that was planted in me that day. It follows the same format as our previous endeavors, but with a new purpose – to glorify God.
On Angling Edge, we not only showcase the thrill of fishing, but we also take the opportunity to talk about the Bible and how it has impacted our lives. It’s our way of sharing the message of faith and hope with our viewers.
But this story goes beyond just a television show. It’s a testament to how God works in our lives, often in ways we can’t comprehend. He orchestrates people, places, and circumstances to guide us along our journey. And it’s through His divine plan that we find ourselves where we are today.
In addition to Angling Edge, our production company, Lard Media Productions, is responsible for other fishing shows such as “The Ultimate Fishing Experience,” “The Canadian Experience,” and “Angling Buzz.” In total, we produce 65 original shows in a span of about 7 months. It’s a lot of work, but we are grateful for the blessings that have been bestowed upon us.
As we continue to pursue our passion for fishing and sharing our faith, we want to extend our well wishes to all of you. May you have a good and safe fishing season. And remember, we’ll see you on the water.
