Lund SPORTTRAK

One of Lund Boat’s many innovations is their SportTrak system. SportTrak is integrated into the gunnel of Lund Boats. The system can accommodate endless accessories to customize your rig.

SportTrak eliminates the need to drill holes for rod holders, down riggers, tracks, fish finders and other accoutrements.

For many anglers, Forward Facing Sonar has become essential for catching fish. For those who wish to use a pole system, SportTrak allows anglers to mount a pole anywhere they wish on the side of the boat.

In addition, new shuttles like Fish Armor used for ice fishing can now function as dual purpose units for ice and open water. Lund and third parties make accessories designed to fasten “ice shuttles” to the SporTrak system.

This system is amazing, to add a FFS unit to your boat. No need to run power, drill holes or make a decision on where the system will permanently live. You can simply place it where ever you want on the boat, and if you want it off, it only takes a few seconds.

Jeff Simpson of Angling Edge uses the SportTrak for down riggers. “I love lake trout and salmon fishing, but don’t get a chance to do it all that much. It’s nice to not have plates permanently mounted to the boat and I can just pop the riggers on and off depending on the type of fishing I’m doing.”

Simpson continues “The SportTrak also lets me place rod holders in any position depending on the spread we may be running. It’s an awesome set up. I can turn my boat into a Great Lakes trolling operation and quickly switch it out for more traditional fishing.”

Jeremy Smith of Angling Edge has many uses for SportTrak as well. “The SportTrak system is awesome, I have metal Down Easter rod holders mounted to the Cam Lock SportTrak that we use for muskie trolling or for trolling lake trout with heavy snap weights. I have another set of Cannon rod holders on the Cam Locks for flat line trolling walleyes or lighter board trolling.”

“I’m taking advantage of the SportTrak to accommodate an additional Apex screen and pole for MEGA Live 2. Additionally, there are some great accessories you can put on the SportTrak brackets. For example, there’s a really cool lure holder from RECK-N-RACK that’s sweet for keeping the hot baits for the day.

“Something I couldn’t live without is the Musky Buddy. It’s a net holder that attaches to the SportTrak. It allows you to net a big fish and secure the net so the fish can remain in the water. The system is just amazing and you can make as many modifications to the gunnel of your boat as your imagination will allow.”

Besides rod holders and down rigger options Lund has handy accessories for SportTrak like cup holders, tool holders, boat bumper hangers and more.
