4. Moontail Hair Jigs
Hair jigs have never gone out of style.
In fact, many experienced walleye anglers believe they’ve become even more effective because so few fishermen throw them consistently anymore.
A quality Moontail jig offers an incredibly natural presentation.
Hair breathes in the water, even when you’re barely moving the bait.
That subtle movement can be absolutely deadly on pressured fish that have seen every plastic swimbait and live bait rig imaginable.
I especially like using hair jigs when fish are feeding around current, rocky shorelines, and clean-bottom transitions.
5. Moon Eye Jigs with Soft Plastics
The final piece of my essential tackle selection is a quality Moon Eye jig paired with the right soft plastic.
