If you know anything about my life story, you know the first half of it I was totally obsessed with fishing.
I lived and breathed the fishing industry 24/7. It’s seriously all that cared about from the time I was three or four years old — at least that’s what they tell me.
When I turned 37 years old, through the adventures of life and seeing many different things traveling all over this planet, I starting to look at the reality of what the world is about.
God started to tug at my heart, and the Spirit of God started the tug at my heart through people places and circumstances of my life.
Finally, God got out of my head into my heart and became real to me. It was then that I picked up the Bible devoured — I could not believe that it became so alive to me. I couldn’t put it down.
Looking back at my life, I didn’t have a lot of belief structure. I wasn’t an atheist by any means, but I wasn’t “hindered” by the things in God’s Word. I could look around and see that there is obviously a God and this isn’t all happenstance.
When I got into the Word of God, it became so clear to me — so simple. The Lord says, “Go do it.” A lot of it is put in one sentence!
The Word has changed my life all for the better.
By the way, I read one new Bible year.
